| There is a lot of talk of late about stalking fast growing fish. A thread with input of fast growing fish would be interesting. If you know of any fish like this add yours on the thread. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | It takes 20 years to grow a 50 incher around here.
I caught a 50 inch male in June 1996 and my client released the same fish in October 2000 and it grew to 52 inches. This is a normal 1/2 inch per year once they reach 50. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | from "Woodrum Lake (WVa) update" on the MI Chapter 9 site:
Two muskies were retrieved, both dead when netted. One was 26β and the other was 42β. One interesting fact was noted on the 26βer. It had the orange polymeric tag we placed in the advanced fingerlings last October from Apple Grove. Those fish averaged 14β when stocked so this fish showed excellent length and weight gain in the short life that it had enjoyed in the lake.
I'm guessing you mean 'stocking' since "stalking" these fish seems to be all I can do at the moment! hope that helps, m |
