9-12" single strand leader, 174lb being ideal but can use 105-360lb if you want.

9"-12" single strand leader Solid wire works best! , 174lb works best! I use a Solid ring also on all my jerk baits!

I use an .050 12" leader, with splitring fasteners and no swivel for that type glider. The bait never twists, so no need to worry about a swivel, anyhow.

I use a fluorocarbon leader that I tie myself and I have had no problems using this bait with the fluoro leader. This bait has outproduced anything else I throw this year on clear water lakes.

Thanks for the leader tips!

I tried the Hellhpound this afternoon using a 174# leader. Worked great! Easy to work. Good consistent back and forth glide. Can't wait to get out this weekend.

Thanks,

Johnny B
