What is the furthest north you have seen the ice off the lakes in Wisconsin and Minnesota?

I have seen ice off in Minnesota all the way up to St. Cloud. Metro lakes have been clear for a couple of days now.

Polk County Wisconsin? Is there ice? How much?

Thanks for the info, can't wait for the open water!

If you're looking for lake conditions, one of the best sites to go to is Lake Link. Look for thier lake reports.

Thanks for the website GanderMountain!

I was there and was not sure where to find out the info.

Does anyone know the ice conditions, driven by, heard anything?

Tony,

I drove through Burnett county which is just north of Polk county and about 1/2 the a lakes I drove by were open. Lake Hayward (in Hayward) was about 2/3 open the last time I heard but it hasn't been real warm up here the last couple of days. Still plenty of ice on big, deep clear lakes like Lac Courte Oreilles.

I heard another area lake is open by me and I'm hoping to get my new boat wet for the first time tomorrow.

I saw open water all the way to just south of Antigo today. Summit Lkae is solid as a stone, as is Pelican. Venus is soft around the edges and in the current.

The lakes are opening up big time in the Brainerd area. If the weather stays warm like they say it is the ice will be gone in a week or two. YYYYYYEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAA
