Just joking on the last part but since ya'll (yes, I'm Tex Goldstein) want to see this place active again, let's bring back an oldie...what's everyone's fishing plans this weekend?

ME?

Friday afternoon: ditch work at noon, take the Trupperware Tank out for a little sucker/soak and/or casting for small lake (small) skis from the Kayak

Saturday; The BEAUTIFUL Fox Chain of Lakes for a half day with a cousin.

Sunday: A or B remix unless both sucked then a kayak float down the (equally) beautiful Fox River in IL.

YOU?

No muskies for me. I took the old boat to the Marina for winterizing and now concentrating on bowhunting. Been a few years since I have taken anything with the bow, but we have a couple decent bucks running around. Good luck for those who are after muskies!

I'm canoe camping the Delaware River from Saturday morning to Monday.

Air will be 60F-30F with zero clouds, water is low 50's and gin clear. Likely not fishing at all while the sun is up, it will be full moon conditions. Whether I will stay up into the night or wake up at 4am in freezing temps to get on the water is currently up for debate.

After two weeks of clear blue skies, I'm heading to a lake as soon as some cloudy days finally arrive.
My account number is 4; I've been around a while. m

Plans for the weekend are to go camping and fishing with my son. Probably mostly Bass Fish this lake as the muskies in it are few and far between, but some very good sized bass for Northwestern Illinois.

Update: Fished dusk and dawn each day. Getting ready at 5am in 28F air from a tent sucks.

The river is fired up. At least 4 walleye tried to eat a 9" jerkbait. A 17" bass hit an 8" topwater. Observed an entire bevy of otters hunting at 7am. At night, the glint of the 'eyes were trailing my twitchbait every other cast. No muskies. So it goes.

Follow up from the weekend. Great Full Moon for camping. 75 degree highs in late october felt more like summer in the boat. As expected the fishing was not the best with the abnormal temps. but did manage to keep the boy entertained and caught about 15 bass. So a win in my book. Water was still 62 degrees and algae bloomed.

My Muskie trips ended. So been going to local lakes and been cat fishing. Making my homemade Boilies to give them a try and to see what’s working best.
