Howdy,

I recognize this is a somewhat subjective question, however, I was wondering what you felt was the “best” plastic glider. It seems like most people favor either the Hellhound, Manta, or Warlock (honorable mention to the Jerko).

Based upon those options, is there one that you think works best from the standpoint of hooking percentage, consistency out of the package, and the ability to work well on longer rods?

Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Take care,

Ruddiger

Very fond of Hell Hounds. Besides the usual we have have also used them as a countdown bait in late fall over and adjacent to reef structures. reel handle is all you need to get them working.

Hellhounds, Warlocks and Mantas are the three that work the "easiest" out of the package imo. If you are willing to put some time in, my catch rate on Phantoms and Shum Shums is much better. But like you stated, it's subjective. The one that works best for you and catches is the answer.

Howdy,

Are Squirko’s and Jerko’s still being made? I emailed the manufacturer and did not hear anything back. TRO is also out of many of their sizes and colors.

Take care,

Ruddiger

Jeff that owns Team Rhino Outdoors also owns Squirko and Jerko.

The manta is by far the best factory glidebait ever created!
