Random quote: After about a half-mile the fella stopped and stooped over, with his hands on his thigh's to catch his breath, and the Game Warden finally caught up to him."Let's see yer fishin' license, boy," the Warden gasped.

Just though I'd share what I've been working on lately. I started making bottle openers just for fun last year as a way to quickly produce a blank and practice painting (without all the research/weighting/internal wiring..etc..). Anyway, they were more popular than my lures lol. I guess it makes a perfect customized gift for any outdoorsman, compared to the small market of people who buy expensive hand made lures.
So this year I made another handfull of bottle openers. Some I sold, some I have set aside as gifts. Thought I would share.

Also! With some help from other lure makers, I've started making my own eyes. It has been a fun process. The bottle openers all have (except the blue ones), custom eyes that I made. It adds another element of customization that I can offer. Any color any thing i want! Even a logo or whatever. It is a fun challange. I can run though how I did it if anyone is interested.

Beautiful work on those can openers, but they can't compete with the quality lures you produce.

Thanks Gringo and MuskieBait! I'll make a post soon and outline the steps about how I made the eyes. I learned with some online help, might as well pass it on.

Beautiful work as usual Eastman! I made key chains out of some of my baits for gifts last year and they went over well. I really like the bottle opener lip on yours.

Very nice! I think those would be a huge hit at musky shows when they re-start.

Thanks guys! Yea I was surprised how successful they have been. Just a much much larger market of people you are targeting as a gift idea instead of a large lure.
