Posts: 32930 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Nothin grows!! Bow season is open, the nights are colder, the geese are flying south, and I am going to fish Muskies ALOT more this Fall. How many of you try to balance Bow Hunting and Muskies? My bow is shooting SA-WEEEET! The Coleman tracking lantern is fueled up, my camo gear is clean and ready, and the table is rerady for processing. MUST hunt deer, too. I have Chronic Tasting Disease. I like tasting venison. Posts: 736 Location: Hartford, WI | I try to balacne it out too. It use to be 90% bowhunting and 10% muskie fishing. Ive shot my share of large deer, so the last couple of years the numbers have switched. I am on a quest to get a slob muskie after so many years of trying. Jim

Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | Have to wait until October 1st here for bow. The first crisp clear cold days of fall start the simmer for me. By September 30th it becomes a full boil. I'm shooting better groups than ever and am having as much trouble sleeping as the approching Musky opener in the spring. Good luck this bow season to all. No shoot and release for me..my wife and kids love venison so much they depend on me putting a couple in the freezer every fall.

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | No hunting for me, never owned my own gun. Shot targets and some small game with others before, just never got into it hard core or kept at it. MUSKYHUNTER only!!! I hope all you guys/gals hit the woods, makes the lakes nicer hehe.

Posts: 4266 | I won't be hunting any deer until November. As far as balance, it all depends on which activity is easier on my back. Ahab

Posts: 43 Location: United States | I also try balance both. I hunt the first 2 weekends of the bow season and try to take a doe, which I did Saturday night, or of course a big buck. Then I hang the bow up and fish hard until late October when the bucks start to move. I'm Iowa bound with my bow in November and can't wait. Meanwhile, the Musky action has been hot in the Metro.

Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | Balance is very hard for me, lol. Once bow season kicks in it's always a tough decision. IT starts Oct. 4th here in PA, but you're not aloud to hunt on sunday's, so I'm giving up football this year to fish.

Posts: 80 Location: IL | Steve... only deer. check out this picture of "HIS MAJESTY".. This was taken about 5 miles away from my farm 2 years ago.. The deer is alive and well. I am sure some of you recognize this pic. He is still alive and was spotted this summer with a very slightly smaller rack.. Still world record pontential. How could anyone even think about muskies with this sneaky bastard lurking around in the darkness??? Edited by matt 9/23/2003 2:00 PM Attachments ---------------- ![]()
