Posts: 1220 | Please tell the folks to come out and see my seminar at the Milwaukee Sentinel Sports Show this Friday evening at 7:15 or Sunday afternoon at 3:15. Many of the seminars this year are on Lake Milwaukee where speakers can speak from a real boat out in the water, hopefully able to land a big one on the figure eight. My topic is "You already have the best bait on already!" Please come, I'll try not to fall out of the boat!!

For those going to the show, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's online edition carried a schedule of speakers today. Wish I was going, along with Mr. Forman, number of other interesting speakers on Lake Milwaukee.

Posts: 1220 | Just found out "Lake Milwaukee" is 100,000 gallons of water. If I knew the depth, I guess I could figure the size (or the reverse) but what I really found interesting was the warning to all the speakers to "just" use the bow-mount for navigating the lake, NOT THE 150 HP Mercury outboard!! I'm thinking, if they had to tell us that...maybe you don't have to be all that smart to give a fishing seminar. There goes my ego, right back where it belongs!! Maybe they just could have pulled the little red cord that keeps the kill switch open out of the boat and not have had to said that??

There is a photo of the "lake" in the sports section of today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. It is 4' deep, 4,000 sq ft. The fishing boat will compete for space with a pontoon boat and some kayaks, as well as a dock. Should be just like a day on Pewaukee for you!
