| Does anyone have an opinion good or bad on the new Spirewire Stealth line? Has anyone used it? |

| Hmmm.....from whence does this question come?
I received a free spool, I think it was 30lb stuff. I appreciated the gift. I put it on a heavy duty spinning rod/reel for the kids and wifey. They immediately experienced lots of nasty tangles, though they were tossing small baits (like 6" Jakes). At the end of the day I respooled with fresh 12# Trilene XL. Poof, no more birds' nests.

Location: Thief River Falls MN | I got a free spooling of 80# and to me it is somewhat similar to power pro. Fairly small diameter for 80#. Seems tough enough and casts well but I prefer a line with more body like 80# Spectron. If the price is right try the Stealth, if not go with a more proven line like Spectron or Power Pro. My .02cents

Location: Pardeeville, WI | I have 100 pound spiderwire stealth on my crankbait rod. Its good stuff. Picks up hardly any water. I have a few spools of 80# spiderwire stealth but havent needed to use it yet since my 80# Whiplash is still going strong well into its 2nd year.
I would buy it. Its cheaper than most braids and you get more for your money. Dont go smaller than 80# though. |

Location: Willoughby, Ohio | It seems that Spiderwire Stealth is Pure Fishing's replacement for Berkeley Whiplash. I'm curious how the two compare. I've been using Whiplash for awhile with no complaints. |

| Stealth may work in freshwater, but has received bogus reports on the eastern seaboard. Seems there is a problem of fraying and is prone to wind knots; basic Fireline/Power Pro appear to be more popular... |

| I was in Reeds in Walker last week and they had some new Whiplash Pro...
Looked identical to the old Whiplash, but perhaps it was larger diameter than the old Whiplash, but I didn't look that closely.
I am just glas they continue to make it, as I have used Whiplash for a few years now and love it... |
