What I can't figure out is why married guys need to get permission to go fishing? I ain't married so I can't relate but if I wanna fish I fish!!! Maybe my lack of understanding is why I am still single? Maybe man is just born to lose

I wouldn't say I ask as much as I tell but I do seek approval most of the time. If you want to have a successful relationship you can't just do whatever you want ALL the time. Some degree of respect involved.

You can either be right or happy, can't have both. That is awesome. Yeah my hulk can get pretty bad. shes a 4'10 barrel of gas that you don't wanna ignite. Yeah its just being respectful because if she said hey can I go shopping with whoever i wouldn't care at all ever, but its nice that she respects you enough to ask, and that's why we respect them and ask. Because I know I sure don't want her telling me she's doing something without talking to me about it. Just make both parties happy.

I selected a wife who makes good coin and doesn't care when I fish. Got lucky!

I was married for 9 years and as long the wife isn't being passive aggressive about you going on the trips then you should be fine. I had the house cleaned out after I came home from a week trip to eagle lake with a note saying this isn't gonna work. Didn't even leave me utensils lol.. now divorced and found girl who loves fishing and understands that I want a woman to share my life with her and not control it. I set the bar for every girl after my ex that I try to go on one trip a year because its who I am and they need to accept me for who I am. A lot of give and take. Now I don't have to ask or beg cause she going with me. I don't bring her with I'm in trouble lol.. sounds like you will be fine cause she seems like a good fit. The sex or fishing question at 5am is great option as posted earlier lmfao. Congrats on the wedding.

Life is good when the wife checks the weather and says, "looks like a front moving in, arent you heading out?". Yes, that really happens now and again.

That's what I'm talking about Cowboy, but the guy that marry's the right woman making big coin now that's a find! There's a few out there and think of it as catching the 58" fish! God Bless America.

Let her be your eye candy tanning on the bow while you troll. Its a win win.

Tried this a few times while casting....lures stayed pretty dry

Needless to say the wedding went good, food was good, beer was cold, and she even said I could go out fishing this week sometime which was cool.

We wrote our own vows and I'm serious when I say this, this was in her vows: "I promise to be there for you, no matter what happens, even when you come home upset from standing in the boat for 10 hours and not catch a Muskie" what an awesome woman.

Well , I just guided my wife to five 50 plus inch muskies. In all truth I have been married three times. This one is for keeps. Neither of the others fished or hunted and that was a problem. I would go fishing and they went to the bar. You know how that went. My wife Michelle is accomplished as a musky fisher and to some extent has bested me in the sport. She has two titles in Muskies inc. 2006 women's division champion and 2010 women's masters division. Her 103 muskies over 30 inches in 2006 has never been beaten. I taught her how to cast, twitch, troll and use live bait. I also put her on fish near every time we go out. If your gal will fish with you? then do it. Teach her and give her the best angles and such. It will get you tons of time on the water. There is nothing like having your wife in the boat as a partner. Mike
