Go here and click on daily bulletin for water level. As for debris don't run in the dark

Just got back yesterday. Water levels were higher than I've ever seen before. Most docks were under water. A nasty storm moved through last week and things started to improved Thursday. Fish are defiantly post spawn. Some we caught still had open sores. There is a lot of debris in the water. Some of it is very difficult to see it there is a little chop in the water. As usual the debris is congregated around/near high current areas.

Yeah there is a lot of floating stuff out there. Lots of logs, etc that would have normally just been driftwood that floated up to shore, with all the high water its back out into the lake. I hit something in my trip a few weeks back. Never saw it. The skeg on my motor has a nice white mark on both sides, but not other damage. Perhaps it was just a birch log floating, but not sure.
It was incredible at how high the water was. It was 2 feet higher than a year ago at that time and by the time we left it had risen another foot. The dock in Sioux Narrows was 8 inches out of the water when we unloaded on Tuesday. When we came back Sunday to load up it was 4 inches UNDER water.

Fishing was TOUGH after that storm! When we arrived on Saturday it was 71 deg and water temps were hovering around 64. After the two day storm, air temps dropped to 54 and water temps to just above 60. I hooked one the first night but didn't land. Hooked a giant on a Llungen Refer on Wednesday night right after the storm cleared and again failed to do my part and put the dang fish in the boat.

Thursday landed a 43 on an S-8. She smashed it. Moved 4 others and had one nip in the figure 8. Friday winds came back up but my dad landed a 42 on a DC-8 in the 8. The fish were just moving off the beds. The one my dad landed still had open sores and was bleeding. They haven't migrated to the reefs yet. I found them near and around points or subsequent structure that had access to deep water. I’m sure the Vets at OM will have a field day as the skies have cleared and it’s supposed to warm up even more.

We were not targeting muskies on my trip. We did have an upper 40's fish chase a hooked 23.5" walleye to the boat though.
Walleye fishing was poor. Over 100 less walleyes in my boat than last year. Very few big fish. Only 1 fish over 20" in my boat. Last year we had 42.
