Location: Chicago, IL | Driving to Chicago from upstate NY for a wedding and looking to charter out a guide for a midweek day trip. Will be with my fiance so a trolling strategy is preferred. I've done some research and it looks like many of the guides don't kick off the musky charter season until October. Can anyone offer some advice on what section of the river might be good in mid September and who you'd recommend reaching out to?
Rich Clarke? Bob Walters? Others?
Thanks,

Location: Eastern Ontario | Check Out Irish Hammer we see him out there as well as the other two. If you wanted to cross the border Fishing Fanatic ( Dave Curtis )
The Larry can smile on you or be real tough depending it's mood. Sept has been good the last couple of years. Come here hoping for a big fish not a lot of action and even the best guides can't guarantee fish on a one or two day charter.

Location: Chicago, IL | Awesome. Thanks, horse hunter. Definitely on the quest for a big fish and not numbers! What town do the stateside guys typically launch out of in Sept? Trying to put together a road trip itinerary.
Thanks,

Location: Eastern Ontario | The three Americans fish out of Clayton and spend a lot of time in Canadian water so you should find out what licenses they need you to carry. If they are still on salmon and trout there are a few Canadians that don't guide salmon and mid Sept can be very good. |

Location: Madison, WI | Larry Jones would be a good guy to contact I would think he would know the who/what/where/when and how. Maybe Zach Baker would have some input too. |
