Ok, so thats what I call a leader with blades crimped on them. I was making a few last night for my sucker rods, I like to put a blade half way up on a 2-1/2' Fluro leader to bling it out. Last year if the leader had an orange blade the pickup rate was much better. So were trying a few different colors including orange again. My question is, do any of you guys add bling to you leaders?

I don't use tail gunners any longer, I figured on misses or lost suckers the muskie was eating that crap..

I use gold or silver blades on mine.

why crimp them? you can get small loop clevises like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Nickel-Folded-Clevis-Pack-of-100-/3106874...)
and put them on the flouro, then get a single barrel sleeve and lightly crimp them so the blade is up a few inches....i put blades on some of mine.. some days it seems the ones w blades get wacked more, some days the ones w out blades are better.....

BN's rigs are as good as you can get. I got 4 last weekend with them.

I'll take a few pics tonight and post them. I buy BN rigs as well, they are sweet and never has one failed. I do enjoy trying on my own and seem to come up with crazy ideas after a few beers playing with my fishing stuff. Lots of beads & blades, makes me think of mardi gras and all those girls on the street having fun..... This does not happen too often with two boy's in Football and now Wrestling is about to start for them. I'm the taxi and the accountant that distributes out funds to pay for all of it, and I never miss a game or meet. Time in the fishing room is becoming a short visit unlike years past. So I try to get creative and enjoy it. My fall trip starts on 11/1 for a full week of fishing, and I'm pumped..
