| Just picked a HDS 7 touch up and they suggested a lakeInsight HD card which I purchased. I have been doing some research now and didn't realize how many different card are available for this unit. What is everyones opinions on which is the best card? |

| Check out Hotmaps Platinum with High Defintion Layer Called SonarCharts well worth the extra money! http://www.navionics.com/en/sonarcharts
You also get Freshest Data for a year. Go here for the map previewer http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp zoom in on your area and click on the sonar icon on the lower left corner for the SonarCharts layer.
BTW SonarCharts on sonars its called Fish N Chips |

| Lowrance Lake Insight is the newest card from Lowrance and it is a sweet card! Made in the Insight Pro version and the Insight HD version...$100 and $150 respectively, the HD version is 3D just like a platinum navionics or an old Lakemaster Insight card. It comes down to your preference...I hate 3D chips because theres to much going on there...when I look at the regular maps I naturally see my map in the 3D form so it doesnt really matter. Best thing about the new Lowrance cards is that you pay $100 and you get the entire U.S. with 13 states having high def 1' contours and LOW and Rainy!! Not $125 per card! To each his own...all great products these days! As far as which cards are better??? I own Navionics and Lake insight, depends which lake I am on...I really like Navionics mapping! |
