I fish a metro lake that I am having with. It is a big panfish and walleye lake. I try to find bait, but wherever their is bait there are loads of people there. I mean 7 or 8 boats stacked around say a rockpile or all along a break. I do not want to be the guy that throws around boats way too close. What would you do, fish right amongst them, hang on the edge of boats, or forget fishing it right then? Thanks

Look for bait in open water. Most fishermen find the breaks, but here in Indiana (and i suspect anywhere) there are schools of bait roaming the basins. Find the bait "balls" - scattered baitfish usually mean no predators feeding nearby - and fish them. Even on Webster, one of the most highly pressured lakes I know, I can be practically alone fishing open water. At least as alone as I can be on a lake where you take a number to cast!

Wear nothing but a captains hat and a pink banana hammock. Holler "Ahoy, sailor" to any boats in the area. You'll have that spot to yourself in no time. As a muskie fisherman, you gotta be creative sometimes. Good luck!!!

Careful, round these parts your boat might become the "spot" to soak some worms with that garb.
