Subject: WARNING - CAVE RUN


WARNING....WARNING The KCG (Kentucky Coast Guard) has issued an immediate warning to all potential boaters enroute to Cave Run. Due to recent sub-zero temteratures, a Mammoth Cave, er, Iceberg has been spotted flowing all over the place. Seems to be reforming the lake, changing everything one would know or remember about the body of water. Please be forwarned,this is now a serious threat to our fishing security. However, the National Weather Service has just issued a warm-up warning. Seems we're to be back in the 50's by next thursday. That will take care of that nasty iceberg!! [;)] [;)]

Lol Mike...more often than not I feel as though I'm drowning in a sea of madness! Saw a pic on the news last night of a whole section of a lake up the road that was froze up...been a LONG time since that has happened. Looking forward to some heat meself..[:sun:]

March 27-29, 2003
Cave Run, Kentucky

Program Overview

These courses consist of extensive classroom and field work designed to
Minnowmize the learning experience. The Cave Run Iceberg programs provide studies
in underwater environment, vertical rescue, pulley systems, extrication
techniques, basic Iceberg towing techniques, communications, and management of Cave Run operations. . These courses provide basic and
advanced material for Fishermen who typically include Crash’s North End group and Tony’s Group to the South.

During the three days Anglers will receive approximately 1 hour of
instruction for each level. Anglers should expect to be "on the move" from
early in the morning to well into the evening. These programs are
physically strenuous and participants must be in good physical condition.
Anglers should be prepared to work in difficult situations both above and under the water.

Team Member Level 1 consists of extensive training in all phases of Cave Run Fishing.. Anglers will be instructed in incident command systems, basic
Iceburg procedures, pulley systems, the Cave environment, communications, litter
rigging and transport, and single line techniques. By the conclusion of this
course the Angler should be well prepared to serve as a team member in most
fishing situations.

I got the new grate for the grill,the north group of old folks staying at the Discomfort Inn will be chomping on prime rib,steaks and brat's!What away to end the Show Season,go to the Cave.

Raze, there is a frozen Mastadon dry docked at Scotts Creek Marina that we can chip away at during off hours for fun, and perhaps we can coax Capt Larry into preparing a mammoth feast for us.....
