In the past I normally have used Downeast Rail Mount Rod holders, but I can not put s/s rails on this boat. I was thinking of a removable system using down east holders in a track system that can be removed so My cover fits on as it should. Any recommendations and where I could purchase them would be helpful. Mike Sr

I just installed the Bert Tracks on my Lund. I ordered the Salty Mounts from Coldwater tackle. The number for the mounts, is MF3022, I think. John

If the only reason is the cover? I installed the DEs on my rails and then took my boat to a canvas shop. I think it was about $100 for the revamp, and you would be hard pressed to see the splice in.

Thanks Jerry and john, My boat cover being refitted was something I never thought about, Jerrry the last time I went to get a price on a small boat cover modification and they gave me a price that made me just turn around bite my tongue and walk out....................... John I think this may work for me, just have to remove when I get home and put the cover on........... Thanks, Both Of you Guys......... Mike Melfa Sr.

Does anyone know if the Burts tracks are the same inside measurements as the Pursuit tracks? I have a 70" Pursuit Track and it takes a 3" insert......If the Burts are 3" also then maybe I can use my track system, and just by the Burts Salty 3022 Rod holder inserts (for the clamp on type) Does anyone have a Burt Rail they could measure the inside measurement on. Thanks Mike

I have been running basically the same system since 2004 on our 18 foot Starcraft. My tracks are older ones built by TITE LOC but the mounts foir Salty s-10 holders are Berts. I recommend tracks 100% as you can remove and store the holders when not in use. My tracks take down riggers, rod holders, Planer board masts and it stores nice when not in use. There is no better system out there. Mike
