| I went to the local pond (77 acres) today to find only 5% was open. It was a tough decision but since the deepest part was open I decided to break the ice. Well I got my suckers out and then my dad wanted to cast so I showed him how to jig a bulldawg and right away on his first cast he catches his first muskie. He has been with me over a doezen trips this year and had yet to have a follow. But that muskie sure wanted the orange and black mag dawg. Too bad we didn't get any pictures, he wanted to take pictures of it with me and i tried to hand him the fish but he didn't get a good hold (but somehow) I caught it...and in the gill plate. So as I was reviving it I told him to home and hold it so i could get a release shot. But he was taking his time and I could feel its strengh building up so he got a hold of it, but it swam away right away. It was nice since I hadn't caught one since august. Finally the boat isn't unlucky. I was beginning to worry if there would be another in the boat this year. I will post a picture of the fish once its developed. |
