Posts: 202 Location: Angola, IN | I posted one other pic this year, when my seven year old son Harrison, caught his first musky with me and my brother Mike on Easter morning. This story is just as special. My mother and I went fishing this past weekend on LSC. She has never caught a musky, or seen one caught. An hour into fishing, we get a good rip, I take the rod out of the rod holder, and hand it to Mom. I clear the other lines. By the time the lines are in, she has the leader reeled tight to the rods tip, and the lure is floating....fish is gone. Oh well. Later that day, we have a HUGE rip, and the fish is on the surface shaking. It's a pig!! I get the rod out of the rod holder, hand it to her. I begin to bark directions at her as I clear the lines. She can't move the fish. I grab the rod back and get the fish close. I give her the rod back, and get the net ready. The fish takes a big run under the boat, it's barely hooked. The fish comes up and shakes on the surface....I knew it was over. I reached out and slid the net under her!!. She was bagged!! The rod changed hands 4 times!! It was a true team effort. She wouldn't hold the fish, no matter what. She was a good heavy fish. Another great moment created within our family while musky fishing.
