Normally i would say Silver without question, but this year was odd for Silver (at least for me and others i saw) so i would say The Chain. Plus, you have a better shot at a bigger fish on the Chain.

Was on Silver Thursday water tempiture was between 43 to 45 degrees, didn't see a fish. Last week I got a 33 incher, and lost a larger one on a sucker. You are right about it not being so far as good as last year. I can't comment about the Fox Chain, I didn't get a sticker for the past few years. Good Fishing, Al

I have heard silver has been tough this year. With that said, my experience has been that silver is better in the post turnover. My luck has been better there. I have not fished the chain this year and silver once in the summer, this is all previous years experiences.

Last week the active fish were suspended at 17-19ft over 30FOW on the chain. If you go there, get those suckers down there or be prepared to troll deep. A troller I know told me the fish they are getting at that depth are fairly white indicating they have been out/down there for a while.

Thanks to all that responded, Siver was a bust, not a follow or pick up water temp 38 degrees.
