| Met my buddy at the landing at 10:00 am on Sunday. His wife decided to fish with us. We motor out to the first spot, and on her first cast of the day she sticks a 48.5"x23"!!!!!! About 34 pounds! Saw four other fish, plus had about a 42" blast my homemade Jerkbait at boatside. Came out of the water, headshake, fish went one way, bait went the other. Fun day! VERRRRRRRRRRY COLD!!
Rod guides and reels iced up! Too early for that!

| waterwolf, are you talking the lake alexander over by motley, randle area. with the snow this morning it should be tough to fish it now. i live on the crow wing river and it is all slushy on top from the snow we got this morning so the lakes got to be just as bad.

| DOUBLE H, I HAVE JUST STARTED TO FISH THE RIVER THIS YEAR AND DONT KNOW IT VERY WELL YET. I THINK BY MIDD SUMMER NEXT YEAR, I SHOULD KNOW IT WELL ENOUGH TO START GUIDING IT.
