Does anyone throw creepers anymore? How productive are they?

Thrown mine very rarely.. no luck. I hear good things on choppy days though?

I caught a 40" on a Creeptonite last year. They work, fun lures!

During daylight I use creepers as a throw back presentation after missed strikes (no hook up) or sometimes after follows. I'll use them anytime after dark. I love the sound of these lures at night.

do creepers Work! I carry at all times at lease a dozen different sizes and styles, i use them all summer long, lowlight and calm are the norm, but i also have larger styles that i use in choppy conditions, the biggest thing i can tell you is slow and easy do not get in a hurry with a creeper, i use alot of spreaders on my creepers because my hookups are better with them over standard hook arrangments. get yourself at least a couple different sizes and styles and give them a good try , they can really shake fish loss, when nothing else will, good fishing, Rod

I usually throw one off the back of the boat and put the rod in the rod holder. Then, we slow down as it gets closer to dark. Im casting up front with my partner casting from the back. The creeper is trailing the boat. Went 3 for 4 last year when I did this. Just keep the boat moving slow and listen for the arms slapping the water. When you hear a splash just grab the rod!
