That bass boat isn't made for chop like that. I've had my 17 ft fiberglass deep V wide open in chop like that. It ain't comfy, but it chews waves. He'd of probably speared a wave wide open IMHO.

Knowing the lake well he did the right thing.... Although I have crossed in worse but looking back lucky we made it, 2 others didn't that day....
