Posts: 743 | I just got my new 9'6" trimmed hvy Predator in the mail, coupled with a new 16NA. How much backing do you put on and how full do you fill it ? Going to put 100lb. Ultracast on it. 1/8,3/16,1/4 inch for full spool? This is going to be a great set up for Double 10's. Setups for the year. Posts: 756 | Sweet looking stick. I usually have minimal backing on my Trinidads. I have even had the line tied directly to the peg with no backing a few times. The reel does not hold a huge amount of line (like a Abu 7000 or 700TE) so it does not cost nearly as much to have it spooled fairly full of braid. I would suggest (as I am sure most would) to spool it no more thatn 3/4's full.

Posts: 34 | I bought he same setup from TB last year and they spooled it for me and only filled it to about 1/4 inch from the edge. A bit less line than I normally put on but the guys a the shop said this has been the consensus from the staff and the customers. It worked well enough for me so I'll keep going with it. That said, my reel is the 16N and not the NA. You'll love he setup!!
