Anyone have info on how long this bite usually lasts? Is it water temp based, moon based, or something else?
This is my first year hitting it this way and it's been pretty good. I'll keep throwing them until they don't work, but just trying to get a frame of reference.
Thanks for any info.

Primarily, it is for when they are very shallow.

I'm in Ohio and it works here.....not exactly "the north", but north of KY.

Location: 15 miles east of Lake Kinkaid
They work great in Illinois and Indiana as well. Pre-spawn and early post spawn are usually the 2 most effective times to fish rattle traps, but bass fisherman catch musky on them all year. They shine on shallow, stained spawning flats or areas adjacent to spawning flats when water is from 42-55F.

Thanks, Fellers. We're approaching 55F here. The fast speed of the rattle bait bite sure is fun!
