| I have a very small boat that I use for fishing small streams and lakes. There's not a whole lot of room in the boat for extras. I want to use a Musky-sized net for my fishing, but am not sure which one to purchase (I presently use a Bogagrip)OR where to put it in my boat. Any suggestions? Thanks, MuskieKid [] |

| Try the Frabill Powercatch, a good net for what you have described.
You can get some clips on the side of the boat that will snap the net in standing on it's side at the gunnel. That is how I had mine in my old 14' Alumacraft.[8)] |

| Hiya Kid,
I recently purchased the big Fabrill Powercatch. And it is big, but I've found a way to lay it in the boat it so it's mostly out of the way while fishing. The handle will fit into the rod holders (Down East and ?) I have mounted on both sides of my little 14'er. So I'll use the net, held in a rod holder, as a "holding tank" while unhooking the fish.
I've been visiting your site a bunch recently, looking for some specific info on leaders and fishing flowages. Man, your site is excellent!

| I agree with using a rodholder, when i had a 12' plastic boat I used a verticle rod holder that it came with. If you don't have rod holders, a real easy thing to do is to screw in a small peice of pvc pipe to the side of the boat and put the net handle in that. |

| The very same dilema I had. I never bought a net becuase my dad constantly bithced about the room in my boat. We used the boga grip exclusively. We have been putting alot of fish in the boat this year and the inevitable has happened no less than 5 times, which I told my pops, I was buying a net whether he liked it or not. We lost fish we could have netted. Takes longer to boga them. I did not buy the biggest net but the one down from it. Still big enough for any sized musky. |

| Yep, I have a Boga also and have lost fish because I couldn't get the thing in the fish's mouth!!! They certainly work well, but they are not as fast as a net. Thanks for the great info. MuskieKid |
