Location: Bemidji, MN | I'm curious what kind of reels you guys use for rubber baits- mag dawgs/mag superD/Pounders?
Daiwa 300, Calcutta 400/400TE, Saltists, Okumas, Curados and so on. Looking for some opinions, pros/cons. I've used the Saltist 30 and Luna 300 and not sure what I think. Thanks! |

| i used AC300's for my larger stuff. They work. Some will say Revo, salist or other.. The important thing is using a quality reel built for the pounding it will take. If you operate the reel the way they are supposed to be used, they will hold up. |

| If you go with the Saltist, I'd recommend you handle one before you buy. Some people like it, others don't. If I had to vote I'd say go with 400TE. Awesome reel for every use IMO! |

Yes, I have the saltist 30 Levelwind and Luna 300s but was just seeing what others were using. Just not sure how I feel using these reels I have for larger rubber baits. |

Location: New Hope MN | I have a 400TE & saltist 30HA and I gotta say saltist by far... Not sure why mcgeissler is the opposite, but to each their own i guess.
My saltist picks up the line so much faster than the TE. |
