Posts: 2 | From the post back in June, I heard good things about the new Tooth Tamer rods. Has anyone else used one this season? I'm looking for a new 8' 6" stick and would be interested in hearing what people think. Also, does anyone know who is carrying them? I'll likely need to order to ship since I'm in Chicagoland. Thanks!

Posts: 86 | I got the 8" XXXH model from Steve while staying at Spring Bay. It's pretty versital as I was using it for DCG's as well as heavier stuff. Construction seems to be top notch. The synthetic cork is interesting, kinda spongy which makes it very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate in buying one of the lighter rated rods if I was in the market.

Posts: 33 Location: New Berlin WI / Pelican Lake WI | Matt The new Tooth Tamer's are great and we have had some great feed back on them so far. At this time we do not have a dealer in the Chicago market but we do have one in the Milwaukee market. You can also get one from a few retailers like Rollie and Hellens and Ross' sport shop in Phillips. If you would like to see one we can make arrangments to meet up so you can look at them. I live in the Milwaukee area and would be willing to show you some product if you would like. I also have 2 Pro Staffers in Northern IL and they may be able to meet you also. Please send me a email at [email protected] and we can make some arrangements if you would like. Thanks Tom Rozek

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | Can someone post pics of the new rod ??? I would love to see the synthetic grips and the Webco reel seats on this rod. From what I have hear about this rod it should be very very nice. I saw the new Okuma rods last week, nice for the $$$ but very very heavy.

Posts: 285 Location: Price County WI | The synthetic grips are great. When I first heard about them I wasn't so thrilled about the Idea but now that I have thrown the rods for a summer they are the only grips to have. My hands don't get as tired and cramped at the end of a long day. I really noticed it this week when I got my hands on one of the prototype rods for next year. It came built with real cork. I love the rod but hate the cork. It feels like I have to grip it harder. The synthetic cork is a little soft and gives when you are casting and working the lures, it takes a little getting use to the feel but when you do the synthetic is great. I'm going to try and attach some pics of the 8'6" rod. I'm not a pro so they might not be the best.
