Any info on LOW. Heading up next weekend to the Morson area. I here they have had a bunch of rain and storms and the water is high again. Any suggestions for what to try first for the toothy critters. thanks Jim

I can't help you out much as I have never been there, but am going for the first time June 27-30. I'll bring this back to the top for MuskyMike to see. I am going with him and he has been up before at this time of year. Good luck. Where are you staying??

June musky fishing on LOTW is very nice because you have all your spots to yourself as most people don't think about musky fishing there this early. We usually go out of Morson as well. Our best luck has come where there's rock/weed combo and using baits such as reefhawgs, jerks (suicks/bobbie's mostly), and topwater (jackpots, prop-style baits like the topraider). Talking to a lot of people who fish up there, a lot of people have had success with spinnerbaits such as the raddog. I'm going to try to work spinners & gliders into my day a little more.

If you can't find them in the weeds, don't hesitate to hit the shallow rock bars. We usually get a lot of action this time of year but it is a little tougher finding the big fish.

I don't know what the water levels/temps are yet because I'm not going up for another week and a half. I'm looking forward to the first trip up there this year.

check walleyecentral.com's Canada-Eh? page, several posts about road washouts and high water including one with the phone number of the Ontario highway patrol so you can call for last minute info. Sounds like the water levels are coming down but some damages resulted. m

skunkburt,

When are you coming back? I'm headed up next Thursday. If you get back before then would you mind dropping a post or an email and letting me know what the road conditions are around Morson? We might be driving up in the dark.

Feel free to also give a fishing report
[]
