try going to your nearest Gander Mountain and see if they have them in stock. I've seen them for a good price.

Cabela's in Rogers has them. I know Thorne Bros use to have them, not sure if they do anymore.

I'm not the first to make such a post on this board ... but a couple of weeks ago I was casting a Real Fish bait with my 6'6" Fig Rig heavy weight rod ... and the rod snapped in half on about the 3rd cast.

The rod was rated for 5 ounces, and the bait runs around 7 or 8 ... so I guess I got what was coming to me.

However, with everything that I've heard about Fig's snapping, and the fact that Thorne Bros. dropped the line ... I replaced the rod with an 8'6" Tounament Legend Xtra heavy St. Crouix.

That baby's not going to snap (rated 4 to 10 ounces) ....

I have used the 7'2 fig rigs before and they have served me well but I switched over to the St.Croixs and love em!

I have several st croix, lamiglas, and 3 fig rig's. I have "overrated" all of them at some point. without any breakage to date. One of the last rods I bought was a 7'10" premeir 1/2 to 2 ounce bucktail rod. I have no doupt if I tryed to throw a mag dawg, it wouldnt be 7-10 for long. My fig's are older, but they are good rods, and still get alot of use.
I fully believe in capitalism, and the free enterprise market. The company had a run of bad blanks awhile ago. My understanding is they fixed it and have moved on.
