The Red Door Motel is the most affordable. On the lake.

Definately Reddoor. Most likely you will be fishing that side(the famous north shore) of the lake anyway. Convenient and affordable.

Last year when we went there we stayed in a lodge on the southeast side of the the lake and ended up fishing the north side. We wish we would have stayed there as an after thought. Especially this year with gas prices, my guess is you,ll want to save as much as possible.

Check out Hunters Point Resort as well. They have multiple lodging options, great facilities and are great folks. Short drive North or South.Located about 1/2 way up the East side. Word on the street is that they are becoming a muskie "hub" on Mille Lacs. Nice. www.Hunterspointresort.com. Steve
