| Thinking about booking this place on Vermillion in the fall. Anyone been here or have a better suggestion?

Location: Port Washington, WI | I have stayed there. It is a nice place, the owners are very nice people. It is quiet and well maintained, and has a decent camp/bait store. I like it because it is pretty centrally located on the lake. If properly motivated you can fish the far west end or get to the east end of the lake without too much trouble. You can only get there by boat so you have to leave your car across the channel but it is pretty easy and they have a decent ramp and boathouse by their parking lot. |

Location: Brainerd,MN | Been staying there for the past 3 years and will be up there again for 2 weeks in July. Great place! They pretty much have everything you'll need....bait, tackle, gas (cheapest on the lake), groceries, beach for the kiddies, and most of all peace and quiet! The cabins are nice and rustic. No phone (pay phone) or TV though....hence the peace and quiet. Joe and Jenny are great people. You'll have a great time.

Location: Lockport, IL | Awesome! I have been to Vermilion 7 times and this place by far was my favorite. I waited too long this year and tried to book for mid-july and the cabins I wanted were full so I will be trying out White Eagle Resort in Head-of-the-Lakes Bay. That means I will probably not get over to the east a whole lot, but there are big girls to be had on the west as well. Not to mention some nice bonus pike! |

Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | Just so you know, if you plan on fishing the east end. Big bay is about a 25 mile round trip from the lodge.
It may be centraly located on the west end, but it's a long ride from most of the east end of the lake.
Otherwise it's a great resort.
