| hey guys do you know if this reel still available?thats strange because my new 7000 without is not good like the one whit the antibacklash concern the long distance cast

| What do you mean by "antibacklash"? All the 7000's have cast control knobs that control backlashes. |

| Never heard of a 7000 anti-backlash reel before. Still waiting for a narrow spool 7000 with a 4.1to1 gear ratio. Kdawg |

| yeah cast control is the right word,mine is probably broken,i remove 2 bushings,now he cast like a dream but birdnest is more frequent |

| Sorry but I am at a complete loss as to what you are saying. If you removed the bushings the spool would have nothing to ride on and the spool would not be able to turn. DO you mean shims that are undert the brake cap? How are the centrifucal wieghts in your reel? Are they still there or where they lost when taking the spool out? These are important to keep backlashes down. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | reelman, I'm guessing he means he removed two centrifugal weights. I have done this as well and you get very long casts, but as ron f says your chances of a backlash is greater. |

| That would make sense.
The new 7000i's come with 4 brake blocks that can be snapped in or out. |
