Posts: 32879 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The morning was crisp to say the least, with a coating of frost on the truck and boat before sunup. 100 teams hit the water this morning fishing for a first place purse of $1200.00 and to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This morning's severe cold front featured strong NE winds and temps in the low thirties until mid morning, with falling water temps and bluebird skies. 7 Muskies were entered from 46.75 inches to 35.5 inches. Action was very limited, but several teams lost fish or had them pinned down without getting them to eat. Here's the top seven: 1) Joe Zienart/Ron Fransen 2) Rich Masten/Steve Verstegen 3) Dave Grubb/Brad Thering 4) Jim Beyer/Donald Pache 5) Matt McCumbes/Jeff Pomplin 6) Andrew Golden/TJ Devoe 7) Jesse Hendricks/Joe Oskey Note the sixth place team..... Posts: 32879 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Awards Ceremony was held at 7 PM tonight after dinner and a cocktail, handing out the checks to the top 15 and disbursing DOZENS of very nice prizes. We'll have a full sponsor list up with the image gallery in the very near future! Posts: 507 | This was one the best events in the 16 years this tournament has been held. The 100 team field was filled, the Sponsors stepped up and made this a huge success, and Gerrits's did an outstanding job managing the event's nuts and bolts. A solid check will be sent out to the the RMH Charity by Gerrits Lakeview Inn, and everyone had a GREAT time. Posts: 227 Location: Maple Grove | Wish I could be there. My buddy's parents from college have a place there. We fished walleye. This was before I came down with this illness. Being in the Twin Cities (originally from WI) rat race on a daily basis I would gladly trade the traffic for a cold morning on musky water. Good luck to all. Joe

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Had a great weekend fishing with Slamr this weekend. This years tournament was by far the best tournament that I have fished in the few years that I have fished it. The coldness at take-off was a little nippy but other wise I loved the weather, what a great day it was to be on the water. Slamr, thanks again for the great time out in the boat, had a lot of fun and can't wait till we can do it again.
