Yes, shallow dawgs ..works good over submerged coontail or cabbage.

Read my lure doctor article in the April/May MH. Bulging Dawgs is easier when they are weighted. And yes, the occasional tail break can be a trigger.

Bend the wire up so the dawg is arching it's back and it'll bulge nicely. I haven't caught anything doing this...yet!

Treats hit it on the head. Bend it up to keep it running shallow and up top easier. The tail makes an amazing sound when you do this. It's just a matter of time before it gets eaten.

Bucher had an article in the Musky Hunter and also had a show last year where he figure 8'd an entire drift and he caught a 48" or so. I actually decided to give this a try with a Gold Sparkle Bulldog and caught a 36". Talk about excitement! I probably went around 40 times and this thing came out of nowhere and drilled it! Give it a try sometime!
