Have some questions for those of you that saw all the new stuff from Muskie Innovations this year.
Other then the bullhead with whiskersI heard there is a micro dawg or something? Is there anything else? Just looking for some info before I head to my first show next week. Likes, dislikes? What was going quick? Want to make sure I can get mine! LOL

I have a question also. How long are the bullhead and the sucker (without the tail stretched out) 5",6",7" more?

New stuff by Musky Innovations....

The Real Fish, which everyone is talking about. It comes in the bullhead pattern as well as perch, sucker and walleye. It's 9" (Length without the tail? Not sure.), weighs 3 ounces and has two 4/0 trebles.

The Chatterbait - I guess you would put this one into the bucktail category, kind of. It's profile is that of a big jig with two large single hooks. Rubber skirt with a plastic trailer. It has kind of a bill/blade/lip on it. It's hard to describe without a picture. There were some pictures of it up on another thread if someone has that link.

Uptown Dawg - Two new colors...Carp and Rainbow Trout. They've also changed the process in which they make the uptown dawgs to make them more durable than last year's version.

Shallow Invader Jr. - 6.5" long.

Micro Dawg - 4" long

Shimmy Shad - 6" long swim bait and similar to an Optimum Bait

Chatterbait - A bass sized version of the Chatterbait mentioned previously

I wasn't at the shows, so I don't know how quickly they were all moving. But I do know that the Real Fish was selling out quickly.

Here is a photo I took from the MuskieFIRST Chicago Show album of The Chatterbait, Sucker Real Fish and Bull Head Real Fish.

The Real Fish lures are just a bit smaller than the regular dawgs.

hello. the new real fish series seemed to be moveing well. i am particulary found of the bullhead the rest did not realy get me going. i did pick up some micro dawgs. and yes i will be throwing them for skies. in the river's and up in the laydowns . some times small is the key just look at all the bass and walleye guys who hammer skies all the time on small light tackle. never look a gift horse in the mouth you just may get bitt.

I bought one of the Chatterbaits at the Pittsburgh Show. Am I to believe that the snap ring and the plate are going to hold up to the rigors of bringing in a Musky? Or, am I missing something? Has anybody used this before(field testing)? Pat

Good question, Pat. That's what kept me from buying one at the Chicago Show. I guess the clip could be replaced easily enough, but I'll wait to hear how they hold up.
