| Contact Minnetonka outdoors. They are a certified Abu repair shop. They are FAST, and cheap, plus the guy who does their repairs really knows his stuff. Or drop it off at Joe's sporting goods. Mtka outdoors picks up every monday, and returns the next monday.

Location: Holly, MI | If it is a newer reel I would take it apart and de-gunk it. The factory over oils and greases the reels to idiot proof them imho.
They are easy to disassemble, clean and put back together. It might be just that easy. |

Location: Contrarian Island | Abu in Spirit Lake will do it for free if it is newer...I have sent some reels there and they send them back all ready to rock, new parts, lubed...no charge!

| I send mine to Bass Pro Shops reel repair, and have never had to pay a cent for anything that was wrong with any of my Abus.
