Headed up after labor day and was looking to start getting a clue as to whats been going on. Conditions, temps, possible patterns. How's this year been for you on these lakes?
Thanks for any help,
Karl.

Just got back from the tourney up there. Water is around 67- 69 degrees. Its been a cold summer. Fish the deep edges with jerks and cranks and you will boat a few nice ones. Good luck.

Ps. Muskies are suspended and are hard to locate. Find the baitfish and your in the game. During the tourney only 11 fish were caught out of 148 men.

It has been one different kind of something this year in the Tomahawk area, where in the heck was our summer??!!!!!!! Water temps are holding in the mid to upper sixties daily and the long range forecast calls for no significant warm up at least in the next week or so. Still boating fish on topwater on flowages and lakes, not necessarily in the evening, ever throw a Weagle???? hint hint........ Black and gold bucktails burned or slow rolled if the area allows it, DDD throw em..... Let the Dawgs out often 1 black, 1 cisco, 1 walleye, a 6 inch reef hawg, throw these baits in good musky water and you will catch fish!!!

Any other reports would certainly be appreciated.

We fished sun.-tues. 12-14 september in the Minocqua Professional Police Assoc. Musky Hunt(Im guessing about 120 anglers). Clear skies seemed to be the biggest issue to keep the action slow. Water temps were in th upper 60s and the wind made fishing difficult on the first two days. On those days, only 2 fish over 36" were registered. on the last day (14th) there was excellent cloud cover with little to no wind and we had scattered showers. on that day I believe 6 fish (36"+) were registered up t 46.25". The only contact my partner and I had was on the 14th and during a moderate rainfall. two follows and then a 29.5"er in the boat. Not a lot of action but as usual, #*^@ gald to be on the water chasing muskies. Headed up to Hayward area in a few weeks....cant come soon enough.
See ya on the water.
