Location: north central wisconsin | <p>Was up north for the past three days and the big fish were in the slop again as they have been the past couple weeks. I wasn't able to find another spinnerbait like the slop master so I loaded up on a couple more of them in wausau and away we went. The hot bait was a weird colored one the gander only had one of, and of course that was the one that worked. Cracked a 46.5"er on it and confidence was soon high. A few casts later, a pike nailed it, and the blade fell off into the water in about 5.5'. I could see it on the bottom and held the boat there wondering what to do. Finally it dawned on me to get out, and try to pick it up(thought about using the net but the bottom would have gotten stirred up too much). I reached down with my toes and surprisingly came up with it and the swivel on the second try. We were off to our second spot where I imediately got a 50"er(ok it was 49.75" this time) on the same lure, then a 44". Finnally tore the bait apart in the net, and it was on to another color, which in turn did work almost as well. Thought it was a neat story, and something we'll never forget. The water felt good, but I think the people in the pontoon laughed as I frogged around in the weeds up to my neck while holding the boat from drifting away. I in turn pounded the arm shut on the spinner bait arm better so it would not happen again. I guess we sometimes get rewarded for doing dumb things in this crazy sport.</p>

Location: oswego, il | Jason, congrats on your second 50. We all knew you had ape like feet anyway, I bet you cast with them when your hands get tired puting in those 80 hours a week(yeah I am jealous) in your boat musky fishing.  |

Define your pattern if you could please!!! Types of water (Not asking for your water, just gin clear, coffee stained, flowage, what??)
