Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | i havea heck of a problem. i was camping on the chippewa flowage last summer, and had bugs swarming my front locator. when i woke up the next morning, there was white dots all over the front of it, like someone splattered paint on it. needless to say it didnt get cleaned up right away. got home put it away and got ready for hunting season. when i got it out this sporing, i saw that it hadnt got cleaned up. now i cant get this stuff off there for nothing. i have tried everything i thoguht would be safe on the plastic and screen, and none of it works. any suggestions?? i hate to have to buy a new faceplate. |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | thanks, tried borh...didnt work. someone please help!! i have now tried soap&water, vinegar&water, straight vinegar, rubbing alcohol, as well as various cleaners like the "as seen on tv" super cleaners, windex, orange clean, fabulous, goo gone etc. nothing is working. i will try to take a picture and post it.
otehrwise, anyone know what a new face plate costs for a pinpoint 7520? a new face plate comes with a new screen? |

Location: Holly, MI | For car bumpers there is a bug and tar remover that works awesome. I think it is a petreolium product so it might hurt your screen. I have used good old gas on a rag for a lot of things. Try it in the very corner to be sure it doesn't hurt the screen. I don't think it will but it is your unit. I would try it on my own. |

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | What you may have is an etching of the screen from overspray of insect repellant. The oil carrier in the bug spray will permanently mark the screen of your locator. There is a plastic scratch remover and polish available at many auto parts stores. It is usually located where the Meguiar's products and other car polishes are located. It is your best bet for fixing your problem. The name of the product is Meguiar's Plastix Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish. Good luck! |

| Ditto on old Bob just above, you are probably seeing the results of bug spray, not bugs. Don't know the answer, try Bob's suggestion. |
