Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | And a young looking fellow you were, too. beav, that was the day of catch and show, no way would you have let the big walleye go back then!! Now, mostly because we are old and feel sorry for other old creatures, we release them with comments like:
" OK big girl, there you go. Good fight, you big old sow. Now swim away...there you go...(then to whomever else is in the boat)NICE fish." |

| You're right Steve. Those were the days when I was "The Daiwa Guy" and you were "The Tuffy Guy". Lots of things have changed since then, but we're still the same........maybe more mentally than physically.
That was an awesome night. In the boat alone. Right after watching Johnny Carsons Tonight Show and sucking a couple of Budweisers. Worked the shoreline throwing Rapalas and caught her in about 3 feet of water. Stuck a flashlight in my mouth when I thought she was close and managed to net her. I'll never forget that night. Neither will my dad. I ran into the house screaming like the place was on fire!
Thank God for pictures. Some really are worth a thousand words.

| Daggone dude! A mid western Frank Zappa holding a wallie instead of a baby seal; though I remember little from that time period, I'll see if I can whip up a similar "Woodstock" pic. and e-mail it to you. Hope all is well in the "den"... |
