Down here in W.Va. , Kentucky and Ohio musky season last all year long. What do you consider "spring" fishing time? Below 60 degrees, below 70? When do you consider summer peak to start?

Spring is the month of June since the northern WI season opens the saturday of memorial day weekend. Summer to me is July and August and thats only if the weather allows the water to get hot. This year it did when lakes hit upper 70s at 4th of july. September could be hot like the sunmer for the first part of the month or maybe snowing by the end of the month. Lakes turn over in October for the most part. Water temps are in the 40s right now.

Was fishing last week in 72 degree water here in the mountain state. Big difference in temp.

We are looking at high temps in the 20s in a few days, and low 30s for the best we do in November up here. Ice may be early.

Bet you aren't at all excited for an early ice-up are you...

Talking with a neighbor here in Oneida County this morning about the cold that is predicted for November. Maybe this is the year we fish big suckers through the ice for Musky? (Keep in mind our season closes end of November)
