| Looking at this rod for smaller muskie baits and pike. They have a 7'10" with a 1-4oz lure rating, has anyone used theys? |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | i have used one and my only complaint is the size of the grip and rear cork. it is about 2 fingers worth only. nice rod other than that. |

| I used a 7'9" mojo bass for a season 1-4oz rating used it to downsize and after a couple 42-44" fish it went back to bass not saying it didn't do fine, just wasn't what I was looking for anymor. |

| I use the st Croix LT "swimbait" bass rod, with a tranx 300, and its awesome for smaller baits, i used the curado 200E size reel on it, but i feel the reel is under-powered for the larger fish. |

| Give both a go, and see which you feels match the style you are going to use it for, but the 6500 should do the job. |
