Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Okay- Just bored cruising the web- MF has slowed down since the boy's departed for Sabaskong outing. I found this one. How about a trout on a quick strike? http://www.weekend-sportsman.com/VA/stories/vanews120211.html Al Warner http://www.zaltnad.com |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Al, I like that idea. If nothing eats your bait all day, you can take it home and fry it up for dinner.. Beats paying 3 bucks apiece for suckers and tossing them out at days end. |

| Ghoti; waste not the suckers! Par boil them, remove large bones, take meat and beat an egg or two; add some spices, patty out, dip in cajun flour, and fry up as fish cakes...daggone good for sure. |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Sponger-- that's fine for wild suckers, but most of the suckers sold around here are tank raised. Kind of like eating trout from a commercial trout pond--fills you up but no taste. |

| Seems like they're trying to raise everything these days; talapia, catfish, etc. No wonder everything tastes like cardboard... |

Location: Washington, PA | I tried this last year. I had a really hard time keeping the trout alive. |
