| I would like to aquire one or two more of these weird reels. I think the number is 5600AB, but I'm not sure at the moment. Seems there are quite a few that were purchased and then folks were dissapointed in how they work. |

Location: Oshawa, Ontario | I experimented with one awhile back, and found it to be no where near what I expected it to be. The anti-backlach feature severely limited in any distance casting (I do not like casting a country mile, but do want distance on occasion). If you have any degree of proficiency with a baitcasting reel, go straight to a 6500C3, and use the spool adjustment knob for control. Even if you ar new to baitcasting do not think these "anti-backlash" reels are "foolproof". It would be better to train yourself on a standard baitcaster and learn the basics.
One thing I will say is your choice of manufacturer is right - Abu build reels made for the long haul - sturdy, low maintenance, and great service.
