Cabelas is clearing ONIX 8 SI for $999
Any users want to share how they like it?
Apparently the latest firmware 2.70 fixed most problems with the ONIX.
There is also word that ONIX will be replaced by something new but at this price it's hard to beat.

I have onix 10 and love it I know now I paid too much but what the heck I can watch football on it in the fall

I love the onix. its so fast. but watch the you tube tutorial before you take it out. you can change sensitivity and chart speed so much faster than any other unit. just tap and twist the circle knob. vs the helix you have to hit MENU, then LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE, and click down, then tap to you number setting. ONIX is so fast just touch and twist. but you will be LOST if you don't watch the you tube first. oh yeah and one thing i cant stand about ONIX is that you cant get temperature on the map. you have to have the depth screen up. totally hate that. but the speed of use is great.
