I recently returned to CO from my spring musky trip to the northwoods. While there I was able to take advantage of a day of fishing with John Stellflue aka Oneida Esox that I had won last fall from the Ashton auction.

My hat is off to this great guide as he worked very hard to put me on fish. We were on the water for 11 or 12 hours, hit several lakes, he bought lunch and provided a nice clean boat. I learned alot from John and was eventually able to boat a nice 38" despite hot, calm, blue sky conditions.

John represented the Ashton auction, Steve Worrall & muskiefirst.com, the sport of musky fishing and himself to an incredibly high standard.

If you are ever looking for guide service in the Oneida county area you can't go wrong with or do much better than a day with Mr. Stellflue.

Thanks John, Steve Worrall and my best to Ashton.

John is a class act! He bailed us out when another auction winner and the donation didn't click, too. John, thank you for your hard work, and see you tonight at Rhinelander Muskie League. I hope to outfish you, for once!

Hey Slop Master THANKS A LOT for the compliments, boy we had to work hard for that 38, but when he did finally committ you set the hook and did everything right.

These fish are special and everytime you put one of any size in the boat is a good day. I had a great time fishing with you and Paul. You guys both worked very hard as well.

Steve, Thanks also to you, I was glad to be able to help out the Ashton Fund.

See you tonight! God bless.

I second all of the comments and sentiments from above. I had an opportunity to fish with John earlier this spring and he runs a top notch operation and puts you on fish (I got one and blew a couple others). If you get up to the Rhinelander area and have a chance, I would highly reccomend a day in the boat with John. I hope to fish with John again in the fall.

John, thanks for the great day.
