Hi guys, another post about the 680c....
I now have seen the boat i was talking about. This boat has serious problems with the floor, think it needs to be replaced. the seatmount just in front of the console has been broken out and the floor was badly repaired. In the back the floor looks sagged and the carpet looks bad and dirty. The rest of the boat looks great! Could you give me information about the material and construction of the floor? How is it mounted and is it possible to take it out and replace it with another wooden floor?
-Is there a technical specification of this boat or a sort of building plan that i can use for restoring this boat?
Does anyone has tips or pictures of such a restoration?

| So I haven't taken a ranger apart but I would expect 1/2" plywood with a couple layers on fiber glass on top. You will have to cut this out, and as long as you can cut without going though the hull you will be good. In some areas it may be beneficial to leave a 3" ring of old floor so you can rest the new floor on top of it. I wish I had all the pictures from rebuilding two warriors and that trick helped on the second one, expect the unexpected. And plan to remove all the floatation foam. Probably replace stringers. And when you get the base set up and foam in and your about to lay the floor down know where the seat was( and will be if you want it closer or further away) but you can slip some hefty aluminum underneath so the seat base screws really bite hard. | I agree: call Ranger directly. I am not 100% sure, but I do not believe there is a layer of fiberglass over the plywood floor. I believe it is simply treated marine plywood covered by carpet but, again, I am not positive. |

| I have already send them a request for info. I'm more confidend with mailing since i'm from europe and not from usa.
But apart from what they will tell me, i 'm still happy with all info i can get..... |

| I'm not sure the time zone difference but I would call rather than mail. I have never had experience with "snailmail" and ranger but even E-mail is slow. Best luck I have had is to call in and talk to someone in person, Leave a message but don't wait for them to call back after a couple days try again. |
