Location: Quebec, Canada | How do you measure it... is the 10'' model measured all the way to the end of the tail or when the hard part stops?
This is confusing as if you measure all the way to the end of the tail, it's 10'' and if you stop at the hard part, it's 7,5'' which is the other model.
I know that squirelly hellhounds are measure all the way to the end of the tail... |

| I don't own one with a tail, but your question is interesting. Most baits will be listed with the tail being included or not. However, even the Phantom Lures site doesn't list it. The only site I found was Musky Tackle Online, which list the 10" (plus tail). The 7.5" was listed (without tail).
Looks like it's Phantom's standard lure size with the tail being extra. You could always contact the company for clarification.

| They are listed by length from the eyelet to the end of the metal stud that the tail attaches to. My 7.5" softail is a little over 10" with the tail. |

| Top/Right is a 10" Softail- body measures 9", w/tail: about 12".
Middle is a 7.5" Softail- body measures 7", w/tail: about 9.5".
Left/Bottom is a 6" Softail- body measures about 6", w/tail: about 8".
