Location: IL | Hey Guys, just looking for any sort of reports from spider. I will be headed up there next weekend for a few days of fishing. Was curious on what the water temps are at, and if the lake is showing any signs of turn over? Any sort of feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks! |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya,
Are you fishing the tournament? That will be the Hayward lakes Muskies Inc Tournament weekend if you didn't happen to know already.
Spider will be pretty busy... Good water to fish, though..

Location: IL | Yes we will be fishing the tourney, from my understanding It's more of a fundraiser, every man for them self kind of thing? Doesn't sound very competitive but sounds like an AWESOME time. Looking forward to it. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | It is a great time!! Lots of fish in the chain, although not much for size. We stayed at lakewoods in cable when I did that tournament, then commuted to different lakes. The spider chain was always a good time

Location: Madison, WI | Last time i was up over Labor day it was tough, didnt move a fish under good conditions. Had a buddy that just got back and he struggled too. Fished in between the cold fronts and only caught one low 30 incher. It has been slow all year there for some reason based on what we have seen at my moms resort on the lake, water is extremely high right now from the rain. If you are traveling into North under the culvert, make sure your boat fits, my buddys windshield almost hit the top of the culvert. High water might have them slower. As always, fish will be regulated to weed edges/breaklines which wont be hard to find. Good luck. Just an FYI for the Hayward tourney...it rains most years....snows the rest. |
